Manager of Others. Enabling–Enable delivery through role clarity, training, coaching, and measurement.
The business manager of others designation is for people who direct the efforts associated with enabling or delivering to enable or deliver the company’s products or services to external and internal customers.
Managers of others Business managers typically plan the work, assign the work, monitor progress, give feedback, coach, measure performance, hire and , fire, etc. This first management step is the hardest because it requires a significant behavioral and value-based transformation from doing something to overseeing others doing it.
Therefore, Axelerant is ramping up its efforts to provide conscious leadership education encompassing time and resource management, planning and assigning work, and motivating and assessing team members.
The formal manager transition begins when a person has at least four, preferably five direct reports. In the meantime, they’re considered supervisors alongside their individual contributor position.
