Technical Workforce Manager

Who would be a good fit for this role?

Responsibilities

  • Act as a cultural glue to Axelerant and sensitize individual team members to BU needs and engagement models

  • Contribute to hiring decisions to ensure fitment of folks from a  BU and delivery perspective 

  • Ensure a seamless Axelerant onboarding experience for individual team members by being a POC until they are moved to a project

  • Conducting regular 1-1s with team members to understand individual career growth through IDPs, align on project aspirations to facilitate the correct project fitment, and identify mentoring and coaching aspects

  • Act as a mentor on technology/domain related topics for each team member

  • Collaborate with ops specialists to create mechanisms to collect, organize and summarize individual feedback into meaningful and actionable information

  • Be the primary decision-maker in yearly performance reviews based on feedback, promotion packets, and skill matrix (created by each COE)

  • Own and drive decisions related to voluntary resignation or justified termination

  • Identify required training needs for individuals and facilitate through support from COE.

  • Setting right priorities in team member allocations considering project constraints, account needs, and team member motivations.

  • Deal with changing conditions and people availability, and find solutions to resource management conflicts as they occur in ongoing projects. 

  • Setup and manage mechanisms for team members to raise transition requests or share preferences relating to staffing allocations while collaborating with PMs and service area directors.

  • Flag any risks, bottlenecks from a staffing point of view that may impact projects, opportunities, or strategies and Collaborate with team members, project managers, and directors to resolve the same.

  • Getting visibility of upcoming projects and required capacity from account managers, presales and sales team.

  • Collaborate with account managers in upcoming qualifying projects and opportunity planning from a staffing point of view.

  • Collaborate with recruitment teams to review progress and adjustments needed in hiring targets as per set priorities to ensure they are on track.

  • Collaborate with centres of excellence (COE) to allocate people on the beach to relevant  programs, enabling teams or initiatives

Requirements

  • Delivery experience using agile methodologies in relevant technology skill sets

  • Experience working in a consulting or agency environment with enterprise-level clients

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems, perform complex tasks, make fluid decisions based on dynamic variables, and prioritize multiple projects.

  • Highly collaborative working style, including supporting multiple cultures/time zones.

  • Ability to analyze and create metrics that help to drive business decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable working with all levels of the organization.

  • Knowledge of business unit practices and procedures

  • Ability to make sound decisions and judgments with a focus on getting things done

  • Attention to detail, multitasking, and a willingness to learn.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills
