Drupal Staff Engineer

We seek an experienced Staff Software Engineer with deep expertise in Drupal to lead our most complex and challenging projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and maintaining large-scale Drupal applications and websites, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the technical direction of our Drupal projects and working closely with senior management to define overall product strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of our most complex and challenging Drupal projects

  • Work closely with senior management to define overall product strategy and technical direction

  • Mentor other developers and ensure high-quality code standards are met

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of our software development process

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in Drupal and web development.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Drupal development, including custom module development and theming

  • Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies

  • Knowledge of advanced Drupal development topics like multi-site architecture, caching, and database optimization.

  • Experience with integrating Drupal with external APIs and systems.

  • Experience with managing large-scale Drupal projects with multiple teams and stakeholders.

  • Experience leading a development team and mentoring other developers

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with other content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Joomla, or Magento.

  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles and practices.

  • Experience with project management methodologies like Agile or Scrum.

  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools like PHPUnit, Selenium, or Behat.

  • Knowledge of web security best practices and tools for securing Drupal websites.

  • Experience with implementing web analytics and tracking tools like Google Analytics.

  • Expertise with DevOps practices and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or Jenkins.

  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
