Specifics

Consolidated Leave is Axelerant's naming of a combined leave pool for casual, earned, holidays, marriage, menstrual, mental health, sick, or other leave purposes.

All full-time Axelerant team members are eligible for 35 days of Consolidated Leave annually.

Bereavement Leave 

Five days of Bereavement Leave allow team members time to grieve and arrange for final affairs upon the demise of immediate family members like spouse, parent, sibling, children, partners, or miscarriage.

Care Giver Leave

Ten days of Care Giver Leave allows team members to assist their dependents with severe medical conditions or a health event requiring emergency care leave: E.g., emergency admission to hospital, an unexpected illness, or last-minute care arrangements.

A team member's dependent is typically considered direct family members like children, parents, adoptees, partners or spouses, and in-laws.

Force Majeure Leave

Force Majeure Leave is available to team members when an extraordinary event or circumstance beyond their control, such as a war, strike, riot, crime, epidemic, or an activity described by the legal term act of God, prevents them from fulfilling their role obligations.

For example, localized Internet shut down due to political unrest; or natural calamities negatively affecting the team member or their immediate family.

Maternity, Adoption, and Miscarriage Leave

The maximum paid period for which any pregnant person is entitled to Maternity Leave is sixteen (16) weeks, of which not more than eight (8) weeks shall precede the expected delivery date. Up to twelve (12) weeks for a third child and beyond.

A person who legally adopts a child below the age of two years is entitled to Maternity Leave for twelve (12) weeks starting a week before the child's arrival.

A person who miscarried a child is entitled to Maternity Leave for six (6) weeks beginning the day of their miscarriage.

Maternity Leave (India)

The maximum paid period for which any pregnant person is entitled to Maternity Leave is twenty-six (26) weeks for the first two (2) children, of which not more than eight weeks shall precede the expected delivery date.

Paternity Leave

The maximum paid period for any paternity person to be entitled to Paternity Leave is ten (10) days during pre- and post-natal childbirth days.

One (1) day of Volunteer Leave allows Axelerant's team members a chance to give back to their communities. And please share what you do in #guild-volunteer.

Leave Without Pay

Leave Without Pay is time away from work without compensation: E.g., Medical Leave, sabbatical, or study time.

Kindness Leave Pool

  • Leave balances are reset on the team member's work anniversary date.

  • The monthly leaves pro-ration is 3.33 (for calculating rescinding CL balance for people on notice period)

  • Up to ten (10) days of leaves can be carried forward to the next year. 

  • Maternity Leave: Pregnant individuals with at least 80 days of service at Axelerant are eligible for paid Maternity Leave.

  • Paternity Leave: Paternal individuals with at least 80 days of service at Axelerant can avail of paid Paternity Leave.

  • Leave Without Pay: Pay deduction will be based on the number of leave days in a month multiplied by the most recent daily salary rate.

  • Global Delivery Compensatory Time Off: When Global Delivery team members are requested to work over the weekend or another overtime period, they earn a Compensatory Day Off. The Compensatory Day Off is expected to be taken within one month of the worked weekend. 

  • Sabbatical: Full-time team members with three years of continuous service qualify for a sabbatical.

  • Kindness Leave:

    • The kindness leave pool is reset on April 1 every year, with Axelerant contributing 50 days.

    • Team members are encouraged to donate their leaves through Kindness Leave Contribution.

    • Team members can use Kindness Leave for unforeseen situations by submitting a Kindness Leave Application.

    • Upon people operations review & acknowledgment, team members can apply for Kindness Leave through the leave management system.

  • No leave encashment is available. 

  • Apply for Consolidated Leaves via the Leave Management System (LMS).

  • For any other leave category, apply via People Desk.

  • When your reporting or career manager determines that your time away negatively impacts your team or the business, your manager may ask you to return to work earlier to ensure the continued success of your team's work. 

  • Continued absence from work without notice could lead to an Exceptional Situation.
