Time Logging
At Axelerant, time logging is a core part of our remote-first culture. It plays an essential role in helping us support our clients, track progress transparently, and continuously improve our operations. Here's why it's important and what we expect from everyone.
For Clients
Time logs provide transparency into project progress, which builds trust. Our clients value timely updates that show what we’re working on and how time is being spent.
Proactively sharing this information eliminates the need for clients to ask and helps reinforce confidence in our delivery.
For most engagements, Axelerant is required to share team members’ logged time with clients to ensure clarity in billing.
For Axelerant
Daily time logging helps identify unused capacity that can be redirected toward meaningful work.
Accurate time logs help us bill clients promptly. Even short delays in collecting data can impact cash flow and delay payments.
These logs also guide internal decisions—such as resourcing, process improvements, and strategic investments.
Time data helps us track KPIs, calculate billability, utilization, and organizational profitability.
It provides accurate estimates for future projects and proposals.
Time Logging Expectations
Each delivery team member’s availability to Axelerant is 40 hours per week, unless agreed otherwise
Hence, all delivery team members are expected to log all available time on Mavelink
These available hours are distributed between:
