At Axelerant, we want our team members to get all assistance while working with us. So starting October 1, 2021, Axelerant provides a Child Care allowance to support parents and guardians with younger kids towards expenses incurred for a daycare center or a nanny for up to two children. We will reimburse Child Care up to INR 5,000/ USD 100 per month per child up to 5 years old. 

 

You may claim the Child Care allowance by providing:

  1. The child’s birth certificate 

  2. Receipts from the daycare center

  3. Proof of online payments to the nanny along with their Aadhar Card copy (applicable to India Team Members)

Applying for the Allowance

  1. How do I apply for the Child Care Allowance at Axelerant? Simply submit your child care expense claims through our Zoho Expense portal. If you need assistance with the process, Our People Ops team is here to help!

  2. What documentation is required to claim the Child Care Allowance? Please provide receipts or invoices from your child care provider that clearly show the date, amount paid, and provider details.

  3. What is the process for submitting receipts and other proof of child care expenses? Upload your receipts to the Zoho Expense portal under the Child Care category. Make sure the documents are clear and legible to avoid delays.

  4. How long does it take to process the Child Care Allowance application? When you submit your claims by the 12th of the month, we make sure they're processed swiftly between the 16th and 17th. If your submission comes after the 12th, we'll take care of it the following month. We organize it this way to ensure you get your reimbursements smoothly and on time.

  5. How frequently can I apply for the Child Care Allowance? We recommend submitting monthly to streamline your reimbursements, but you are welcome to submit more frequently if that suits your needs.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Who is eligible for the Child Care Allowance at Axelerant? All permanent team members with children up to five years old are eligible for this wonderful benefit.

  2. Up to what age of children does the Child Care Allowance cover? The allowance covers children up to the age of five.

  3. Can I claim the Child Care Allowance for children older than five years? Currently, the allowance supports children up to five years old, in line with pre-school age.

  4. How many children per family does the allowance cover? The allowance can be claimed for up to two children per family.

Usage of the Allowance

  1. What types of child care expenses are reimbursable under this allowance? The allowance covers all forms of child care expenses, including daycare centers and nanny services.

  2. Can I use the allowance for payments to both daycare centers and nannies? Yes,Whether it's a daycare center or a private nanny, as long as you provide valid receipts, these expenses are eligible.

  3. Are there specific requirements for proving payments to nannies? Just like with any other child care service, a receipt detailing the payment received is required.

  4. What is the maximum amount that can be claimed per child under the Child Care Allowance? You can claim up to INR 5,000/USD 100 per child per month.

  5. Are there any limits on the monthly or annual claim amount for child care expenses? The maximum monthly claim per child is INR 5,000/USD 100, and up to INR 10,000/USD 200 for two children.

Additional Support and Conditions

  1. Can I claim the Child Care Allowance together for a quarter or bi-annually? While monthly claims are preferred for efficiency, you can submit an annual receipt if you've paid for the year upfront. We'll reimburse you monthly based on the annual claim.

  2. Is the Child Care Allowance amount the same for all team members? Yes, the allowance amount is standardized across the board to ensure fairness and support for all our team members.

  3. How does the Child Care Allowance vary based on the number of children? For one child, you receive up to INR 5,000 per month. For two children, the benefit doubles to INR 10,000 per month, offering greater support as your family's needs grow.
